Overview
The partner company needs a booking service exposed as a documented REST API — the kind of backend a frontend or mobile team would consume. You design the data model, implement the endpoints, and secure them.
Testing and documentation are graded as seriously as the code itself: a service nobody can safely call or maintain isn't considered done, even if it technically works.
Learning outcomes

- Design and implement a RESTful API in Spring Boot
- Write unit and integration tests for critical endpoints
- Add authentication and handle errors consistently
- Document an API so another developer could consume it unaided
